Troubleshooting Space Heater

Italy State

Alessandra Bernaroli is a transsexual woman, "where - says - transsexual is an adjective, as tall, fair or oily . In 2005, when it was still called Alexander, he married his wife. Then, four years later, he officially got the sex change. At that point, an "obscure bureaucrat" decided to divorce her office. do not know how, moreover, that since the divorce, in Italy, it takes the decision of a court . In an interview with City Alessandra tells the battle to save his family.

want to force me to "divorce state"

Alessandra Bernaroli After you become a transsexual woman, the Bologna City Council wants to "divorce representation" by his wife. She is opposed and the case ended up in court.

She is officially a woman since 2009. It claims that her marriage contract if was a man, remain valid. Why?

For the same reasons for which I and my wife we \u200b\u200bgot married: to love and because we share a life plan together.
In the meantime, she has changed sex.
is a very big event. But in life captain also more serious events and people stay together. The sex change has not altered my relationship with my wife.
How is this possible? Why
with surgery, and the exchange of documents I have solved my own personal discomfort, due to a specific disease that is called "gender identity dysphoria". But I'm always me. She understood and followed my path and has remained with me. I do not see why an obscure bureaucrat can claim the right to decide for us on something as fundamental as marriage.
The obscure bureaucrat would be the official of the Municipality of Bologna, which would annul his marriage? What happened exactly?
After the ruling of the Court, which sealed my sex change and documents, I asked to renew their identity cards. But it was late in coming. I ventured to call the City of Bologna and I have passed an official, he told me he was waiting for the divorce because he did not like to see two women married to the same family status.
But in the end the documents had them?
Yes but they have arbitrarily divided the family status. To the point that came up with two different and nonexistent house numbers (a / e / b) for me and my wife. You figure married to me, I have the words "marital status is not documented."
Is it legal?
No law permits a civil servant to dissolve already formed a family. Besides, not even warn us! It is abuse of office and alteration of documents, on which I reserve the right to sue.
reserves Why? Why
are now engaged in another cause: to cancel the "divorce representation" that he made up the town.
Based on what? In Italian gay marriage does not exist yet ...
Look, there is the mistake: my marriage is a transsexual, not gay.
What is the difference?
A homosexual is a person whose only problems stem from the fact that the company discriminates against him, but that is good about herself, it is recognized for what it is.
For transsexuals is not it?
The dysphoria gender identity means that a person does not recognize in his body. Therefore, using hormones and surgery, needs to adapt its internal gender identity. I felt a woman even when I was a male body. This on an individual level. Then there's the fact that while gay marriage is to celebrate a new marriage, my marriage had existed, it's just born as a marriage between two persons of the opposite sex. We seek to introduce new laws.
Current legislation does it say?
In 1987, the divorce law was updated, "news" they say in legal terms, to include the case of transsexualism. And the change of sex was added as a potential cause for the petition for divorce by her husband. Possible, not automatic.
So the divorce is allowed only if you ask one of the spouses?
Exactly. On this, at first instance, we were right, the court Modena. Examined our action against the exchange of documents agreed by the municipalities of Bologna and Finale Emilia (where we married) and recognized that our marriage is valid.
On Friday, however, a court will rule on your case again ...
Yes, the State Attorney has appealed against the sentence. It is very likely that we get to the third degree of discretion, the Supreme Court.
But because you have chosen the court?
We tried to turn the city bureaucracy: we were never answered clearly. To give us the documents we have not even told that the machine was broken! We also appeal to politicians locali, visto che il Comune di Bologna si vanta di essere all’avanguardia nel rispetto dei diritti delle persone. Anche lì nessuna risposta. Siamo state obbligate.
